It's time for Americans to wake up and recognize they've been lied to for more than 80 years. Between the American propaganda that has been fed to the masses has indoctrinated a false sense and false air of "exceptionalism". You're not.

The sense the US is the greatest country on Earth is false. You are the most violent, racist, self absorbed and you're convinced that everyone has the right to bear arms to the point you have more firearms than people. You don't look after your sick. You declare bankruptcy because the greedy Healthcare is unaffordable.

And you wonder why people look at you as a continuation of the Wild West. Your air of superiority is reviled globally. No one owes you. Not one person or country. All this while you have mass shootings daily and hang onto the 2nd Amendment that was written when muskets were the firearm available at the time. Your mentality never grew after the Civil War.

Trade? Canadians are so incensed with the absolute disrespect and the threat of annexation we have at a grass roots level fought back by taking US booze, wine and beer off our shelves. We are refusing to buy anything from the US. This wasn't mandated by the Canadian government, Canadians put our elbows up just as Canadian hockey legend Gordie Howe practiced throughout his hockey career.

For the sake of space and time I'll close with the reminder that Canadians have stood by Americans when you faced the foe. One example, 9/11. We went to ground zero to help. When the airspace was closed, Canadians took you and everyone stranded in the air into our homes. "Come From Away" the Canadian Broadway hit was the story of the time the people in Gander Newfoundland welcomed more people than the population of Gander.

We never ask for "thanks". Knowing we've helped our fellow citizens of the world is satisfaction enough.

Practice some humility, it goes a very long way, more than threats from the DC Bully Pulpit.

Another brilliant piece of work. Thank you for clarifying what so many of us Canadians already realized about the capabilities of our Prime Minister. As a Canadian I couldn't be more proud of our Prime Minister Mark Carney.
